Freshman Lucas Alekseyev was nominated as Student of the Month for World Languages by his Spanish teacher Ms. Amy Saco.
Alekseyev was noted by Ms. Saco as someone who consistently focuses in class and participates frequently. When asked why he believes that he was chosen for this award in Spanish class, Alekseyev said, “I think because I try my best to pay attention in class.” Upon receiving this award, he mentioned that he was happy and felt good about being recognized for his work.
When reflecting on Alekseyev’s accomplishments in class, Ms. Saco highlighted that “he puts in great effort and genuinely learns to understand.”
Not only does he work hard in class, but he also mentioned that he enjoys the class itself, highlighting his favorite part of the class which is being able to “joke around with friends in the Spanish language.”
Outside of the class, Alekseyev stated that he loves music and shared that “I aspire to pursue it.” He emphasized that he is interested in the heavy metal genre.
