Mrs. Saco was recently nominated as Staff Member of the Month for her positive rapport with students and her thoughtful lesson planning. She was nominated by Mr. Brian Gatens and the World Cultures Paraprofessionals.
According to Mr. Gatens and the World Cultures Department, Mrs. Saco “is wonderful with her students. Mrs. Saco’s lessons are well-thought-out, prepared, and engaging. We feel that Mrs. Saco is very deserving of the award because she always goes above and beyond for the students of her modified world cultures class.”
Mrs. Saco plays a pivotal role in the ESL program here at Lakeland.
According to Mr. Gatens, “Mrs. Saco is the tip of the spear. Like Top Gun, but for Lakeland.”
When Mrs. Saco found out that she got the award, she said that she felt good to receive this award in her sixteenth year of teaching at LRHS.
“I started here in 2010. The most meaningful moments are having great people to work with [which] makes it easier, and working with students with all abilities.”
Mrs. Saco expressed her appreciation for “having an awesome department to work with” and said, “we all work together.”
Some fun facts about Mrs Saco are that she went skydiving and that she is still in contact with some of the students she has taught.
