In January 2026, Lakeland Regional High School welcomed Mr. Kenneth Rota as the new interim Chief School Administrator following the retirement of Mr. Hugh Beatie. Mr. Rota brings experience and leadership from various roles in the educational field.
Prior to joining the LRHS community, Mr. Rota served as a teacher, vice principal, and high school principal for 12 years and spent 12 years as a superintendent and a coach. He spent most of his time in education in Paramus and Fort Lee and said, “every position has challenges, and it takes time to get familiar and know people.”
At first glance, Mr. Rota said that LRHS is a very positive and welcoming environment. From his point of view, a huge positive of LRHS is having “many opportunities for academics and co-curricular activities due to the size of our school.”
The primary goal of his time at LRHS is to prepare our school for the permanent person to carry out the position in the 2026-2027 school year.
Mr. Rota shared a few fun facts about himself. He has a daughter and a son, and his daughter works at Disney World! He also has a granddaughter whom he spends most of his time with. Mr. Rota also enjoys reading and cooking. A tradition of his is to wear a Hawaiian shirt from his huge collection of shirts on the last day of school, and he would enjoy it if everyone participated.
