The day of love is upon us, and The Lancer Ledger is here for all of you who dropped the ball and waited until very last minute to get something together for that special someone. Homemade valentines not only show someone you care, but that you took a lot of time out of your day to make them feel special.

Make a classic heart-shaped card. Nothing says “I Love You” more than putting the thought and effort into a homemade card. This is a great (and inexpensive) way to tell someone how much they mean to you.

Make some yummy treats. This one can go both ways – make some treats for that special someone OR make them together. Just like making a homemade card, a little effort can go a long way. Plus, you get delicious treats to eat and share! The best part is – if you don’t have the ingredients at home, stores don’t close early on Valentine’s Day.

Netflix is full on rom-coms that make for a fun Valentine’s Day.

Find some silly rom-coms to make fun of. Love. Laughs. And Netflix. Nothing makes for a more perfect night. Here are some suggestions:

– A Cinderella Story (Because no one could tell it was Hillary Duff behind that mask)

Falling Inn Love (Who doesn’t love a good pun in the title?)

– Always Be My Maybe (Awkward childhood flashbacks? Keanu Reeves? Catchy and weird rap? Need we say more?)

Grab some food from the fridge and make an indoor picnic.  It’s easy, original, and who doesn’t love a picnic?! Bring back some flavors of summer with there easy recipes from Delish
