LRHS celebrated the new turf field in September 2023.
The Class of 2024 is starting off their senior year forming strong bonds by having a senior sunrise breakfast on the new turf field on the morning of Friday, September 22, 2023.
According to members of the class, the event was sparked by senior Lilly Malavolta. She told the Ledger that a senior sunrise is not something that originated with her; she has seen a lot of other schools do it. However, she shared, “We wanted to celebrate the turf field and be the first class to do it.”
To gain interest in the event, Malavolta sent a simple group chat that grew over just a couple days to include almost the whole class.
The event left the seniors tired but feeling a sense of unity before the Fall Pep Rally.
