Ms. Dianalyn Matlosz was selected as Staff Member of the Month in recognition of her unwavering dedication, compassion, and commitment to our students and school community. 

According to supervisor Ms. Dianna Angelli, “Ms. Matlosz consistently demonstrates patience, kindness and genuine care in her work with students, creating a safe and supportive environment where they feel heard, valued, and understood.”

Ms. Matlosz said that she “feels honored being that there are many amazing staff members. I’m just really shocked.”          

She has been a member of the LRHS community for 15 years and has many memorable moments that stand out to her. One of her favorite moments was before the covid lockdown when Lakeland did a flash mob at one of our pep rallies and the energy was really high. 

When asked about her favorite part of being a school counselor, she replied by saying, “Working with the students. I like to make them feel comfortable and have them walk out with a smile on their faces.”

To cap it off, Ms. Matlosz loves to garden, even making her own pickles! Originally, she wanted to be a marine biologist being a big sea ocean person. In keeping with her passion for the ocean, she really wants to learn to surf this upcoming summer.
