Sophomore Mia Shelton was nominated for the February student of the month for art by her ceramics and art 2 teachers, Ms. Gawron and Ms. Rossnagel because of her incredible artistic abilities and work ethic in class.
Her teachers enthusiastically shared that ”She approaches each project with care and craftsmanship, showing patience in the construction process and has attention to detail in her techniques.”
Upon receiving the award, Mia said, “I’m very surprised; I wasn’t expecting to get this, but at the same time I was.” Shelton went on to say that she feels like she puts a lot of time and effort into her artwork. Art is her passion and she’s always tried her best to excel in ceramics and art classes. She also enjoys the teachers in both classes.
“I really enjoy my art teachers. They make this class more fun than it already is.”
