We Love Our Counselors: National School Counseling Week

Nationwide, schools across the U.S. are celebrating their School Counseling departments and the positive impact each counselor has on students.

LRHS students reflect on why they love our school counselors during National School Counseling Week.

This year, the theme of National School Counseling Week revolved around counselors being student focused. Our counselors, Mr. Timothy Conway, Mr. Joshua Kane, Ms. Diana Matlosz, Mr. Brian Mulhern, and Ms. Tara Ross, exemplify putting Lakeland Regional High School’s students needs first. The Lancer Ledger reached out to the student body to find out some ways our amazing counselors are student focused:

 

Dakota Gallagher, sophomore

The counseling department has helped me be open to talk about my future plans.

 

 

Kevin Bruenjes, senior

The counseling department has helped me because they always have the answers to my questions.

 

 

Zachary Post, sophomore

The counseling department has helped me choose the best classes for me to both succeed and have some fun.

 

 

Kiera Sherlock, sophomore

The counseling department has helped me create the best schedule for me when I transferred from PCTI.

 

 

Kaiden Coll, freshman
