Lakeland Regional High School’s girls volleyball team season has officially ended, and both the varsity and JV team have had overall great seasons.

Captain and senior of varsity volleyball, Madison Gunn, reported that the team put in the hardwork and dedication needed to be successful this season. According to Gunn, this season saw a lot of growth for all the girls, meeting both individual and team goals. One of those goals was to develop and build the team “mojo” between the players.

This growing experience really paid off, with a season record of 16 and 8, and the team proud of their accomplishments.

Likewise, the JV team had a great season with a final record of 13-8.

JV coach, Jamie Haftek, praised the team for following through with their goal of improving their game and being a better team by learning from one another.

JV player, Julia Cericelli, sophomore, said that the JV team has improved since last year because of the bond they had with each other. The team had fun both on and off the court, and looked forward to playing with each other after school.  According to Cericelli, some key players were Lily McGinty and Kayla Swing.

Both the varsity and JV volleyball teams saw a year of  growth and improved both in their game and in their teamwork.
