Top 10 Movies to Watch Under Quarantine

Here are some classic titles to watch “until further notice.”

Now, we know that the coronavirus is spreading rapidly and schools are shut down. Businesses are being told to follow suit to further halt the spreading virus. Families will be stuck in homes until further notice

Until further notice can mean two weeks to sometime in the summer, so you will need some high quality entertainment to keep you in high spirits. 

This list, which is in no particular order, will give you some ideas of what to watch during your voluntary quarantine.

10. Indiana Jones and The Raiders of the Lost Ark: (Netflix) In this classic action movie, Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) finds clues and mysteries to lead to the unveiling of the lost Ark. Unfortunately, he comes across Nazi soldiers hoping to uncover the Ark as well.

9. The Thing: (Hulu) John Carpenter’s The Thing takes place in Antarctica, where a group of scientists are visited by a dog being shot at from a helicopter They take in the dog, but discover that it is an alien that can take the shape of anything. It is up to MacReady (Kurt Russell) and Childs (Keith David) to stop the alien from killing the rest of their crew.

8. Rogue One: (Disney +) Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) joins the rebellion to travel to and infiltrate the planet of Scarif. There her team must download the Death Star plans and escape the sandy beaches to hope one day someone will destroy the creation.

7. Blade Runner the Final Cut: (Netflix) Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford)  is tasked to find and kill four escaped replicants. Along the way he meets Rachael (Sean Young), a young replicant he falls in love with.

6. The Dark Knight: (Netflix) Crime thriller, The Dark Knight, features Batman (Christian Bale) keeping track of crime in Gotham. But as Joker (Heath Ledger) enters, he throws the city in chaos as he manipulates the mind of Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart). 

5. Tremors: (Netflix) In this classic early 90’s flick, Repairmen Val McKee (Kevin Bacon) moves out to a small desert town. Multiple deaths occur as worm-like creatures are hungry for humans.

4. A Quiet Place: (Hulu) The surviving Abbot family must live in silence as aliens roam the country. The parents must protect their children at all costs as they raise them in this hellish life.

3. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse: (Netflix) As Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore) is bitten by a radioactive spider, he must team up with Peter B. Parker, Gwen Stacy and other Spidermen to stop the Super Collider, a dimensional gateway, and send his friends home.

The Avengers: (Disney +) Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye form the Avengers when Loki, Thor’s step-brother, decides to invade earth with an army of aliens called the Chitauri. It is up to our newly formed team of heros (which includes a star-filled cast) to stop the threat.

1. Pirates of the Caribbean: (Disney +) When Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) enters Port Royal and kidnaps Elizabeth (Keira Knightley), Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) befriends Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) to save the governor’s daughter. The pair finds a crew along the way and fights the cursed pirates.

Obviously there are numerous amounts of content to be watched during this outbreak. From TV shows to movies, there is an endless supply of entertainment to fill your needs.
