Coach Lutz credits the whole team for the amazing outcomes they had this season.

LRHS’ boys cross country did amazing this season as they won medals in all of their competitions because of the team’s hard work.

Thanks to the efforts of all the runners, this season was stronger and less stressful as a whole than previous. Saying this season was a success is an understatement. Along with the girls, the boys brought home state sectionals, counties, and conference championship titles.

Coach George Lutz told The Lancer Ledger that the team met and exceeded goals.  “The boys brought Lakeland the first state championship since and triple crown in 10 years.”

The team is performing “amazing compared to last year,” says Jesse Campoverde, a senior and team captain.

Coach Lutz credits the whole team for the success this year. He pointed out some key players that really helped the team shine. Besides Campoverde, Coach Lutz gave a shout out to the two other senior captains, Mason Murphy and Zach Voll. He rounded out the top five runners with junior Ethan Lehr and sophomore Owen Gibson.
