Boys varsity baseball made it the semi-finals and played hard against tough teams.

Lakeland varsity baseball had a great 2019 season. After competing in a tough regular season schedule, the Lancers made it to county semi-finals and ended the season with a 10-13 record.

Captain and senior Justin Carmosino spoke to The Ledger. He credits the teams successful pre-season trip to Florida for preparing them to face off in a competitive league and performing at a level that the team was proud of, which was a part of the team’s overall goal.

Carmosino credits players senior Tyler Tuminski, senior Phil Peralta, and junior Matt Coiley for helping bring the team success on and off the stretching line.

Another key player, pitcher and senior Anthony Fattorusso, told The Ledger, “It was a good season. We fell short at times, but I wouldn’t want to play with any other baseball team and battle out there. MEMES.”

Lancer baseball is ready to take on whatever is thrown at them in the 2020 season, and will remember the lessons learned from this one.
