Senior Emily Ricci was nominated as Student of the Month for softball by Coach Laura Junta. Coach Junta describes Ricci as a “leader on and off the field.” Coach Junta stresses that her stats (listed below) are only part of why she nominated Ricci, who was selected for All-Passaic County and All-Conference, among other awards and honors. “While Emily’s stats are impressive, it is everything that you don’t see in a scoreboard that makes Emily an amazing recipient of this award. Her leadership equates to having a coach behind the plate each and every game. Her teammates look up to her and value Emily’s feedback.”

Emily’s stats: 75 at bats, .640 batting average, .682 on base percentage, 48 hits, 27 singles, 8 doubles, 3 triples, 10 HR’s, 36 RBI’s, 34 runs scored, only 1 strikeout all year.
