Freshman Caleb Rivera was nominated Student of the Month for September for CORE. Special education teacher Ms. Jamie Haftek-Shopshear chose Rivera for the award due to his smooth transition to his new school, teachers, and friends. She said that, “He is always eager to participate and enjoy meeting new people, and learning new things.” Not only this, but Rivera has also recently began working with the LRHS football team, helping collect money at games and stamping the hands of spectators. Rivera is always happy and ready to share his positivity with others.
