Sophomore Peter Hammerle was nominated as Student of the Month for baseball by his coach, Coach Rick Capozzi. Coach Capozzi stated that as a sophomore, Hammerle has shown amazing prowess on the field. With a 100% fielding average, committing zero errors as first baseman, “he was instrumental in us winning the Big North Conference title. We haven’t won it since 2015.” Hammerle also had an impressive batting average, with a .496.  On being given this award, Hammerle stated he was very suprised, and that his favorite part of the sport is being a part of a team.
