Conte Wins Cinematography Award at Film Festival
On January 28 2023, Senior Anthony Conte won first place for the Best Cinematography award at the RCNJ High School Film Festival hosted by Ramapo College of New Jersey.
Conte won his award for his film called 23. The film was about a young boy who is woken up by his little brother to investigate a mysterious and seemingly dangerous looking man outside.
Conte states that there were multiple shots taken by the gimbal, and this is what he credits for helping him win Best Cinematography award. The gimbal is a camera mount which allows the camera to move smoothly.
The Ramapo College of New Jersey High School Film Festival picked 42 films from well over 150 films submitted to participate in the Film Festival and be recognized for their outstanding features.
Conte got into filmmaking after watching countless movies as a child, making him more and more interested in the art. Conte does plan on going to college and majoring in filmmaking, and is interested in schools like University of North Carolina of the Arts.
