Colette Hunter: October
When it comes to business, senior Colette Hunter proves to be taking care of it! Nominated by Business teacher Ms. Jessica Geyer, Hunter was awarded with Business Student of the Month for her profound work ethic. According to Ms. Geyer, Hunter is a very well-rounded student; she is a “top business student academically,” while also fulfilling the CEO role of Lakeland Regional High School’s business simulation firm 1 Click, CO. Ms. Geyer is beyond impressed with Hunter’s leadership skills and immense dedication, and for these reasons, was happily ready to nominate Hunter for Business Student of the Month.

In fact, before receiving her award, Hunter was not aware that Lakeland Student of the Month awards to “specific content areas,” and she is beyond happy to be awarded in a subject she has found such passion in. Hunter expresses much gratitude to the experiences she has endured throughout her time in Lakeland’s business classes, as she applies the skills she has learned inside the classroom for life outside of the school.
