Move for a Cause and help those effected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Looking to give back in these unprecedented times? Well you’re in luck! Lakeland Regional High School’s Service Club is hosting a Virtual 5K to raise money for two COVID-19 relief organizations.

When is the 5K?  How Can I Participate?

The 5k is scheduled to take place from April 30th to May 2nd. Due to COVID-19 regulations, the 5K is virtual. However, this opens up a horizon of opportunities! Participants are not limited to running, but can perform any type of movement they desire. This may include, walking, biking, swimming, hiking, etc. All age groups are welcome and encouraged to participate.

How Do I Sign Up?

Pre-registration for the 5K is open now, and closes on March 31st. If you are choosing to participate in the 5K, please fill out the form linked here. Registration costs $12.00 per person, and those who sign up before March 31st using the attached form will receive a T-shirt. After March 31st, those who register will receive a T-shirt while supplies last.

Registration tables will be set up everyday for 20 minutes after school in the Senior Meeting Room and in front of the West building entrance. The tables will be set up from March 23rd to March 31st to hand in forms with the required cash/check. Forms and payments can also be dropped off in club advisor Ms. Brenda Ferguson’s mailbox.

Where Will the Raised Money Be Donated?

All of the 5K proceeds will go to the COVID relief organizations Direct Relief and Center for Disaster Philanthropy: Covid 19 Response Fund. Service Club has set a goal of raising $500.00, so all registrations and contributions are greatly appreciated.

For any additional questions, please contact Ms. Ferguson. Otherwise, Service Club hopes to have you participate in the Virtual 5K!
