YouTube star Shane Dawson opens up a controversy on Chuck E Cheese pizza – is the pizza reused?

A little over three weeks ago, a famous YouTube star Shane Dawson came out with a two-part series called “Conspiracy Theories with Shane Dawson” and “Investigating Conspiracies with Shane Dawson.” These two, two-hour long videos went viral and got more than thirty-four million views. Ever since they were posted, they became an internet sensation. The people who watched the videos were given a lot to question, and a lot to start a conversation about.

In these episodes, he talks in great depth about conspiracy theories. Despite the many topics that are discussed, the one theory that attracted the most attention is about Chuck E. Cheese. As most people may know, Chuck E. Cheese is a family-friendly arcade. Many children have their birthday parties here where they can play games, and most of all, eat pizza. In part one of the series, Dawson discusses the theory of how the pizza left on the tables is taken back to the kitchen to be reused. His reasons for discussing this theory are how the cuts throughout the pizza don’t always connect or line up. He also discusses how the pizza doesn’t normally make a circle; some slices are shorter than others. Finally he brings up that in between some of the pepperoni pizza slices, the pepperoni piece gets cut off and the other half is nowhere to be found.

In part two of the series, Dawson and his friends decide to test the theory. They go to Chuck E. Cheese and order multiple pizza pies. All of the reasons behind his theory applied to all the pizzas he orders. Because of this, many people around the world are questioning the pizza. Not even twenty-four hours after the video was posted, Chuck E. Cheese claimed it to be false. They defended themselves by explaining how fresh handmade dough is used, which causes the pizza not to be a perfect circle. They stated that when employees are in a rush, it causes the slices to be uneven after they cut the pizza pie.  By the time they denied it though, the theory had already gone viral.

Even after Chuck E. Cheese denied the theory, fans decided to test it for themselves. Even now, adults along with teenagers enter just to order and investigate the pizza. In the end, Shane Dawson’s conspiracy theory about Chuck E Cheese’s pizza was denied however, customers still question and wonder about it.
