Ms. Candace Urbanski has been nominated for September Staff Member of the Month for Business. Ms. Urbanski was nominated by her area supervisor, Ms. Jessica Geyer, for stepping up to the plate this year and helping our school’s curriculum for business courses in the three years she has taught at LRHS so far. 

Ms. Urbanski expressed how she was “surprised, excited and grateful” to be receiving this reward. She has been teaching here at LRHS for three years now, and teaches a range of business courses. A meaningful aspect of her experience in the classroom is how interested her students are in the stock market, much to her delight. 

When asked what her favorite part of her content area is, Ms. Urbanski shares, “I love how many students are interested in our program.” Furthermore, she says, “As a former business professional, I am excited to see the level of engagement.”

Fun Facts: Ms. Urbanski has an Italian grey hound. She has also practiced yoga since 1997 and has 500 hours in her teaching certification.
