Vincent D’Orilia is the April Student of the Month for Robotics Engineering.
D’Orilia, who is a senior, was nominated for the award by Mr. Randy Coren, advisor and teacher of robotics. Mr. Coren shares, “Vincent captained the Lakeland Robotics Team in Design, Build and Drive Team… and won the Innovation in Controls, and Quality Engineering Awards.” D’Orilia’s dedication helped lead the team to one of the most successful years they have every had.
Upon receiving this award, D’Orilia was very happy and felt appreciated that he was nominated for robotics engineering. He thinks he received this award because he tries to help people to be able to do and learn new things. His favorite part is how much knowledge he has learned about the field, which he will take with him into college.
Some fun facts about D’Orilia: He plays football and lacrosse, and he is able to go to college for aerospace engineering.
