The juniors of Lakeland Regional High School attended the Junior Semi-Formal at Portobello in Oakland on May 9, 2025. The event was filled with great food, dancing, and many memories made along the way.
Although the day was filled with on and off rain storms, the gloomy weather did not stop the junior class from showing up dressed to impress. To start the night, the class took pictures at Cupsaw Lake and its clubhouse. At Portobello, the majority of the night was spent on the dance floor for most of the class. This night proved how much the junior class enjoys each other’s presence, and how they are able to unite as a class in order to have a good time.

A significant highlight of the night was most definitely the food. There was a wide selection of buffet dishes like penne vodka, hamburger sliders, chicken tenders, french fries, meatballs, and many more delicious dishes.
The formal was planned by the council of the Class of 2026, led by their Advisor Ms. Jamie Haftek-Shopshear, starting over a year ago. Ms. Haftek-Shopshear is owed an immense amount of credit for her hard work in making the night enjoyable for attendees. Members of the council exclaimed that nothing could have been done without her support and hard work as their class advisor.

As their last event as a class before they enter their senior year, the junior class soaked in every moment of the night with each other as graduation is slowly approaching.
