The Unified Track & Field season has been positive for all members of the team at Lakeland Regional High School. The team consists of ten athletes and seven partners, and is led by head coach Mr. Valentine Acemyan and assistant coach Ms. Karen McCormack.
Coach Acemyan shares that the season was very rewarding and, most of all, a lot of fun, with lots of laughs and good times on the track. He also added that the team would like to book more meets “to compete with more schools and meet new athletes.”

The team competed against teams from West Milford and Wayne Hills, among other towns.
Of the two supportive coaches, players stated they were fantastic in their management of the team. A memorable moment this season was when Coach Acemyan would count during warm ups in seven different languages from English to Italian to Polish. Everyone has a great time!
On a very positive note, Coach McCormack tells the Ledger, “We always welcome new athletes and partners; we’d love to see our program grow next season.”
