Mr. Giorgi Tchubabria is LRHS March Staff Member of the Month for Science.
Mr. Tchubabria was nominated by his supervisor, Ms. Dianna Angelli, for his exceptional dedication and passion as an educator. Ms. Angelli praised Mr. Tchubabria for working “tirelessly to ensure that his students receive the support they need.”
When Mr. Tchubabria, known as Mr. T. to his students, received his award,he was delighted and very happy, saying that this honor was unexpected. He humbly told the Ledger that “there’s a lot of teachers that deserve more than I do.”
Mr. Tchubabria has been at LRHS for eleven years and has taught a range of classes while in the science department. He shares that a meaningful moment in his career is teaching his Honor Physics II classes as he has a passion for the subject. His favorite unit to share with his students is focused on the collision of energy which he uses to teach fIrst year drivers about driving safety.
Overall, he feels very blessed to be working with the amazing LRHS science department.
Fun Fact: He’s a father of two, and he loves sports like volleyball and soccer. His favorite team is Liverpool F.C.
