Sophomore Peyton Territo is Student of the Month for Family and Consumer Science in foods.
Territo was nominated by her counselor, Ms. Christina Schreiner, for “earning strong grades in foods and sharing how much she truly enjoys cooking and baking.” Ms. Schreiner added that Territo brought her brownies that she had made in Foods, and they were very delicious. Ms. Schreiner also mentioned that outside of the classroom, Territo is “a wonderful person and has been truly a joy to have.”
Territo fully agreed with Ms. Schreiner’s statement, saying that she really does love her Foods class.
Upon first hearing the news of being awarded Student of the Month, Territo commented that “that’s sick!” She vocalized that she was very surprised that she had gotten the award and that she was very thankful. As a joke, she mentioned, “Ms. J allowed this?”
Territo told the Lancer Ledger that having Ms. Donna Joseph as her teacher really built up her love for the class. Along with the teacher, the environment of the classroom and having great classmates is what makes her Foods class so enjoyable. Territo is a great cook overall and she is constantly emphasizing how much she loves her Foods class.
Two fun facts about Territo:She was awarded for Student of the Month on her birthday, April 14, 2025, and that her most favorite food that she has made this year in Foods was stuffed shells.
