The girls and boys bowling team had a lot of ups and downs in the 2025 season, with both teams trying their best to make every game valuable.

The boys found this to be a rough season, with a record of 0-14. This does not mean there was success – the team’s high game was an outstanding 213 and their average score this season was 121. Gavin Raudenbush, senior, had a bowler’s average of 153.63 and a high game of 213.
The girl’s season saw more success, with a winning record of 9-8 and a second place in their division. Their high game was 211, and average score was 134. Erin Susen, senior, had a bowler’s average of 146.06 and Chole D’Angelo, freshman, had a high game of 211.
On the season as a whole, both Declan Buonomo and Fiona Clutterbuck, seniors, both share despite the ups and downs of the season, it was fun being on the bowling team.
Boys Team
Senior Seamus Burke reflects on the season as a whole. He shares, “We lost every match this year, and it was tough…” He says that one of the toughest losses was against West Milford, saying, “My least favorite match of the season was the first time we played West Milford. We won the first game, and could have won the second if not for a few points.”
Despite a rough record, the team fought hard and saw a lot of personal successes. Burke says, “…the real opponent is your past self, and I think that this was a tough fight that I won.” He went on to say that this season, bowling became more than a hobby to him. Buonomo also references that each game was hard, but that he tried his hardest despite the struggles.
Both Burke and Buonomo also share that Senior Night was a highlight for the boys team, as they got to enjoy a sport they both love in front of family and friends.
Reflecting on next season, Burke predicts Lakeland bowling will see a lot of growth, as this year was a “building year.”
