Mr. Rudy Rodriguez is marked as February’s Staff of the Month for math.
Mr. Rodriguez was nominated by his supervisor, Ms. Dianna Angelli. Ms. Angelli shares that his nomination is because he is “exceptionally dedicated to both his students and colleagues,” and he has a very positive “atmosphere of collaboration and mutual respect.” Her praise for Mr. Rodriguez continues as she said he shows that he is willing to “try new and innovative strategies in his classes” along with going “above and beyond for students who struggle… [and] putting in the time and effort to ensure they succeed” in order to tend to all of his students’ needs.
Mr. Rodriguez has always exemplified his passion for teaching. Whether he connects with students by making silly jokes during class to keep them engaged, or if he is coming up with other creative ways to keep students focused on the lesson, Mr. Rodriguez always gets the job done. He is very open to new ideas which allows him to cater to his students’ requirements so that everyone is able to fully comprehend the class without the possibility of struggle. Mr. Rodriguez is truly inspiring with how he constantly lifts students up and is able to encourage others around him.
When receiving the award, Mr. Rodriguez was jumping with joy and bursting with energy while his class gave him a round of applause. Filled with excitement, he immediately hung up his reward on his classroom wall.
