Marcson Hyppolite, freshman, is January’s Student of the Month for his work in his art class and LRHS’ CORE program.
Nominated by his art teacher Ms. Valerie Gawron, art, and Ms. Jamie Haftek-Shopshear, special education, they both said that Hyppolite is both creative and easy going, able to go with the flow. In class, Hyppolite completes all the tasks he is given. Hyppolite is detail oriented and works really hard; the Lakeland community is so lucky to have him.
Hyppolite told the Ledger that he was so happy to receive this reward and had a big smile on his face. Hyppolite wants to be an author and make a name for himself some day. He also loves to make art.
