Raven Roth is Lakeland’s Student of the Month for Vocal Music.
Roth, who is a senior, was nominated for this award by music teachers Mr. Frederick Irwin and Mr. Matthew Testa. Roth has been involved in the school’s musicals every year they have been at LRHS, and will play the role of Danny in Grease. Mr. Irwin writes, “Raven has held roles in each of their years here at Lakeland and is the lead in this year’s production of Grease. They can also be heard singing a wonderful rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner” for pep rallies.”
Roth said that they were “happy to be recognized” for their work and talent in vocal music and that they have trained hard to build their musical talent into what it is today. Roth loves to sing in musical theater and was “shocked to say the least” when they received the award.
Fun Fact: Roth is looking to pursue a bio major in college!
