Sarah Riether is surprised to receive Student of the Month for October. Riether, a senior, was nominated for her role in the Dungeons and Dragons Club, making her the first student to receive this honor for a club.
Mr. Eric White, English teacher as well the Dungeons and Dragons Club’s advisor, stated, “Sarah is incredibly dedicated to the club and ensures that there’s always club representation at school events like the Activities Fair and the 8th Grade Open House.” On top of this, “her passion for the game and ability to craft and interpret stories” have made her a club member that Mr. White relies on.
Riether, who has been in the club since her freshman year, believes she received Student of the Month because she “goes above and beyond for the club.” When asked about her favorite part of the D&D Club, she shared that the community and the necessity of working together in groups for the game is the best.
Fun fact : Riether’s favorite animal is a shark.
