As the election is looking like an ever closer race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, voters’ choices are increasingly boiling down to one main issue of importance, the economy.
Election polls have shown that Americans rank the economy as the most important issue in this election, with 95% saying that it will be a factor on who they will choose to vote for, 59% saying it will be a deciding factor, and 36% saying it will be a major factor.
There are also many other issues that are specific to voters of either party. Another poll has shown that Republican voters main issues are economy at 92%, immigration at 82%, and violent crime at 76%. Democrat voters’ main issues meanwhile are healthcare at 76%, supreme court appointments at 73%, the economy at 68%, and abortion at 67%.
Another major influence is the gender of the voter, with female voters saying only Harris has the cognitive health to serve, and more male voters saying Trump would be a “strong leader.”
